Requirements
To apply for APMI’s online volunteer opportunities, applicants must be at least 18 years old.
There is no single background required to become an online volunteer with APMI. Each volunteer opportunity is different and may have its own qualifications, skills, or experience requirements depending on the needs of the role.
As an online volunteer, you will support APMI remotely through tasks and assignments that can be completed virtually. The expected time commitment may vary per role and will be clearly stated in the opportunity description.
We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds and locations who are willing to contribute their time, skills, and commitment to support peacebuilding, community empowerment, humanitarian action, and sustainable development.
Criteria and Service Rules
APMI online volunteers render service in a voluntary capacity and are not deemed employees, staff members, or formal representatives of the organization unless expressly provided in a separate written agreement.
As a general rule, online volunteer assignments are unpaid and do not carry salary, living allowance, employment benefits, or other financial entitlements, unless otherwise specified in the relevant assignment description.
The number of volunteers engaged, the duration of service, and the expected weekly time commitment may vary for each assignment depending on program needs, available resources, and the requirements of the role.
Applicants are expected to review each volunteer opportunity carefully and ensure that they understand the assignment requirements, scope of work, and applicable service conditions prior to accepting or commencing the role.
How does it work
APMI identifies volunteer needs for specific programs, projects, campaigns, or operational support.
We prepare and post online volunteer opportunities through our official channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, Volunteer Help Center, and other designated application platforms. Interested applicants review the opportunity details, qualifications, expected tasks, and time commitment before applying.
Our team reviews applications and selects volunteers whose skills, interests, and availability best match the needs of the assignment.
Selected volunteers may be contacted for onboarding, orientation, briefing, or further coordination before the assignment begins.
Volunteers then collaborate remotely with APMI through online communication and work platforms.
Throughout the assignment, volunteers and coordinators stay in touch for guidance, updates, feedback, and progress monitoring.
At the end of the assignment, APMI may provide a certificate of appreciation, certificate of participation, or other form of recognition, as applicable.
