Walk with Communities in Mindanao
Step into meaningful service through direct community engagement in Mindanao.
This volunteer pathway offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in local realities, connect with communities, and take part in field-based initiatives that promote peace, empowerment, and positive change. It is a chance to serve not only with your skills, but with presence, understanding, and heart.
Requirements
Every volunteer journey is unique. Our opportunities may range from community-based work in local areas to remote or flexible support roles, depending on the needs of the program and the nature of the assignment.
There is no single profile of an APMI volunteer. Each role is designed with its own purpose, responsibilities, and qualifications. Some opportunities may welcome passionate individuals who are just beginning their service journey, while others may require specific skills, experience, or professional expertise.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old to volunteer with APMI. Some roles may not require prior professional experience, while others may call for relevant educational background, technical knowledge, or field experience. Please refer to the specific role description for detailed qualifications and expectations.
Above all, we welcome individuals who are committed to service, community empowerment, peacebuilding, and positive change. If you have the heart to serve and the willingness to contribute, there may be a place for you in our volunteer community.
Terms and Service Guidelines
APMI is committed to providing volunteers with clear, fair, and supportive service arrangements. Depending on the nature of the role, volunteers may receive a modest allowance or support package intended to help cover basic and necessary expenses related to their assignment. This may vary based on the type of volunteer engagement, location, and program requirements.
Where applicable, volunteers assigned to the same category of role and location will receive the same standard level of support in accordance with APMI guidelines.
For certain assignments, APMI may also provide one-time onboarding or deployment support to help volunteers manage initial expenses at the start of their service.
If a volunteer is required to travel or relocate for an approved assignment, APMI may provide travel-related support subject to organizational policy, available resources, and prior approval.
All volunteers are encouraged to carefully review the specific terms, support arrangements, and expectations stated in their assignment or volunteer agreement, as these may differ depending on the nature of the role.
